Krittikā

In Jyotish, the Vedic system of Astrology, a select 27 constellations about 300 to 400 light years away from Earth, commonly known as Nakshatras and not only the 12 star signs are the key to understanding celestial influences on our planet.
The Krittikā Nakshatra is marked by a cluster of seven stars, also known as Pleadius. With Agni - the God of fire, being its ruling deity, Krittikā is supposed to be the source of energy and power.
Inspired by this Nakshatra, our Krittikā collection has tonal hand cut tissue appliquéd on buttery Chanderis to create a ‘fiery’ texture. The hand cut patterns are highlighted with fine sequins. The shapes are classic and paired with pants and appliqued organza dupattas.
