Ketaki

Ketaki
A beautiful fragrant flower, Ketaki is used in making perfumes and aromatic oils. According to mythology, the flower was cursed by Lord Shiva and debarred from use in any ritual, but after much pleading, he allowed it to be offered in worship on Maha Shivratri day. Devotees believe that their wishes would be fulfilled with an oblation of the Ketaki flower on this festive occasion.
Much like turning to the Divine at times of strife, in the peak of summer the colour white is like a refuge — cool and refreshing! Seen here are dresses, kurtas, pants and dupattas in soft hand-spun, hand-woven Cottons and buttery Chanderis, spattered with hand-embroidered mirrors and delicate lace embroideries. Graceful and elegant, these garments are perfect for the sweltering heat.
