Popularly known as the Water-lily, the Kumudini flower is often commonly mistaken as the Lotus. However its petals are very different from the Lotus flower. Traditionally Kumudini is a romantic favourite and blooms at night — the moon its best friend. Many references to beautiful women draw comparison with this graceful bloom.
